Rich Remedios has honestly been my favorite teacher I've studied with so far, and I've taken classes with many different teachers locally as well as in Chicago, Atlanta, and New York. What I appreciate most about him is that he is direct and honest without ever being rude or discouraging. He really challenges his students to go further and explore the fullest, most alive version of themselves as actors. His class felt like an environment where growth was genuinely encouraged rather than just comfort. I also deeply appreciated his feedback style and the structure of the class. Personally, I do not grow much from overly sugarcoated feedback, so I valued that he was straightforward and specific while still being supportive. I felt challenged in a productive way, both artistically and personally, and I think that honesty helped me grow more during this class than in many others I've taken.
I also valued that he is a working actor with years of professional experience, including living and studying Meisner in New York. He brings real-world knowledge, personal anecdotes, and practical insight into the classroom, which made the work feel grounded and authentic. Hearing about his own continued growth as an actor and artist also made me feel less alone in my own process and reminded me that growth in this craft never really stops.
